Sales Funnel Email Sequence: What to Send and When
Last reviewed: September 2026
A funnel email sequence should continue the promise made on the page and move the reader toward the next useful decision.
Email 1: deliver and orient
Send the requested resource, confirmation, or access immediately and explain what happens next.
Middle emails: deepen relevance
Teach the problem, address objections, show the mechanism, or help the subscriber achieve a quick win related to the offer.
Offer emails: make the next step clear
When the reader has enough context, present the offer directly, explain who it is for, and link to the appropriate sales or checkout page.
Stop when the sequence has done its job
Longer is not automatically better. A focused sequence that changes based on actions is often more useful than endless scheduled email.
